As part of the preparation for participation in the 12th International Summer University “Greek Language, Culture and Media,” which will take place in Sydney (September 6–11, 2026), the importance of health insurance during travel to Australia is emphasized.

Obtaining travel health insurance is considered essential for all participants, as the cost of medical care in Australia is particularly high.

It is recommended that the insurance includes:

• Coverage of medical expenses and hospitalization
• Emergency medical transport or repatriation
• Coverage in case of accident or sudden illness
• Optional: coverage for trip cancellation or loss of luggage

All participants are strongly advised to arrange the appropriate insurance before their departure and to carry a copy of their insurance policy with them throughout the duration of the trip.
