The University of Ioannina – Department of Early Childhood Education in cooperation with the Instituto De Letras of Rio De Janeiro University organizes the 5th International Summer University “Greek Language, Culture and Mass Media”.

In 2019, the Euro – American Women’s Council also participates in the project.

After four years of renowned success, the program will take place on the island of Syros for the second time. The tradition of cultivating the extroversion and cooperating with important international institutions of education, culture, and mass media continues.

It is highlighted that, in the past years, the Summer University was supported by the Center for Hellenic Studies, Harvard University, the Greek Delegation of the European Parliament, the Union of European Journalists (Greek department), the Orthodox Academy in Crete, the French Department of the European Press Club (Club de la Presse Européenne, Paris), the Centre Culturel Hellénique in Paris, and others. The Acropolis Museum and the Holy Metropolis of Syros have been equally important supporters of our initiative. ERT Public Television will serve as a communication sponsor for the fourth year.
